I love the mountains!!!

I went snowmobiling this weekend. It was utterly fantastic! I took some friends from school with me, and it was so fun.
There was Mindy, Derrick, Tony, Kendra, and Josh. We took two cars and left Logan early Saturday morning and headed to Star Valley. When we got there everyone (especially Tony) was so excited. We changed all our clothes, packed lunch, then headed up to Grover Park with Dad. We rode in and set up camp on the back of the hill-climbs hill. Everyone hit the slopes pretty quickly. I sat at the bottom to take pictures while they all went sledding. Then Dad started up a fire, and we had hot dogs. Nothing beats a hot dog cooked over a fire in the mountains.
After we ate, Dad and I took everyone out on the snowmobiles 2 at a time. We'd each take one person and let them drive. On all three trips, one machine got stuck every time. The first time, Derrick nose dived into a ditch, and he flipped over top of the hood. From where I was standing way far back, I just saw him dive and his feet fly in the air. And from way back there, it seemed kinda comical. The next time around Kendra took a corner too fast and ran off the road. And the last time, Dad turned around off in some powder and when Derrick  and I tried to follow we got majorly stuck. It was definitely a work out of an afternoon. But I loved every minute of it.
Around late afternoon we headed back to the house, where Mom fed us dinner, and I gave everyone a grand tour of the house. Then we hit the road. We wanted to get back to Logan before the blizzard hit. On the way home, Josh and I had a great time with Disney Karaoke. Needless to say, the duets were especially fantastic. haha. As soon as I got home, I curled up on the couch and fell asleep for an hour. Then I saw a text from Josh wanting to watch a movie. So I invited him back over to my place to watch the last Harry Potter. And I am seriously impressed with myself for staying awake for the whole movie despite my complete exhaustion. It was the most fabulous day ever!

Lack of Bordom

I'm so sorry that I haven't written in so long. I have been so unbelievably busy in the last month or so. But especially in the last couple weeks. School was already keeping me super busy, but then I also took an internship at the Student Involvement Office and Service Center. It's taking a lot of my time, but I love the job. I get to hang out in the service center for 2-4 hours almost every day. Meet lots of cool and fun people, and get out of the library. My job is going to be a big one once I really get into it. I'm going to try to put together some sort of organizational system in there b/c right now it's not very organized. I'm also going to be helping all of the 20+ directors of the service organizations on campus as well as the service council. It's going to be a very involved, hands-on experience. Yesterday in our meeting, my boss told me what he hopes for my position is for me to eventually work my way up to being like the council members. That means eventually I will hopefully become a person that the directors come to for help and guidance and advice instead of just "Hey Kelsey, can you make this copy for me?" So that's pretty awesome. I really like my boss and the Service Council President Maddie. They're both really awesome. And all the directors are really nice. It should be a really great experience all around. I'm excited. Let the good times begin!!!

Internship Offer

Holy snaws, this has been the longest week ever. I feel like I've been numb through the whole thing and it has all blurred into one experience. Yesterday I was telling a story and I said "This morning...wait, was it this morning? I think it was earlier in the week...Monday maybe?" That sums up my life. I don't know why, but for some reason I have been exceptionally tired this week. I've been spending all of my days at the library. One day I even went up at 7 am to do homework before classes. And I've definitely noticed that I really do get more done from 5 to 9 than I do from 9 to 5. I need to start getting up early to study and stop staying up late to study.
Also I got an Internship offer this week. I interviewed Monday and really doubted that I would get it. So I was super surprised when he called and offered me the job. I'm scared to death to start this job though. I'm not getting paid, and credit this semester is still marginal. So I may possibly be working this semester just fore the benefit of major networking and learning a lot of valuable skills. But it sounds like it's going to be a huge responsibility and a lot of pressure and stress. It's going to be 12-15 hours per week. I figure between doing that during the days and doing homework at night...adios to any form of a social life I may have had. But it will definitely be a good experience. I'll just have to keep reminding myself that I can do hard things, and I can do all things in Christ which strengtheneth me. I'm going to have to really buckle down and manage my time effectively. It's possibly going to kill me...but I am somewhat of a masochist so here I go!

Window to His Love- Julie de Azevedo

I want to be a window to His love,
so when you look at me you will see Him.
I want to be so pure and clear that you won't even know I'm here,
'cause His love will shine brightly through me.

I want to be a doorway to the truth,
so when you walk beyond you will find Him.
I want to stand so straight and tall, that you won't notice me at all.
But through my open door He will be seen.

A window to His love.
A doorway to the truth.
A bearer of the message He'd have me bring to you
And with each passing day
I want to fade away.
'Till only He can be seen And I become a window to His love.

I want to be a window to His love,
so you can look through me and you'll see Him.
And some day shining through my face, you'll see His loving countenance,
'cause I will have become like He is

A window to His love.
A doorway to the truth.
A bearer of the message He'd have me bring to you
And with each passing day
I want to fade away.
'Till only He can be seen And I become...

A window to His love
A doorway to the truth.
A bearer of the message He'd have me bring to you.
And with each passing year
I want to disappear
'Till He's become ev'rything
and I've become a window to His love.
