Today the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Temples of the Lord make me smile!!!
Oh my gosh!!! Star Valley is getting a temple!!!! I don't think I've ever been so excited in my life. I did not even see it coming. (I'm impressed at how well kept the secret was for SV. As far as I know, there weren't even rumors of it) My mom has always said that if Wyoming got a temple it would be in Riverton, so every conference I think "That would be so cool if they announced a temple in Riverton.". I never thought they would announce one in Star Valley. When President Monson said "Star Valley, Wyoming" I leaped out of my chair with flailing arms, cheering. Then immediately I started getting texts from friends saying "A temple in Star Valley?!" I can't wait for them to build it. I cannot even imagine what a huge influence it will have on the people of Star Valley. It is going to be amazing. I just want it to be done now! But there are already a lots of questions in my mind. How long will it take to build it? Where will they build it? (I wonder about by the new church, behind the tabernacle, or somewhere in the lower valley. I think Freedom could be a good spot for it) What will it look like? Who will be called as the temple president, workers, and sealers? Right now I am just feeling so grateful that I was raised in a community that is worthy to hold the House of the Lord. I am so excited for all of my old ward members who will now benefit so much by having a temple close to home. Also, I think it would be so cool if I could get married there. I've always been indifferent about where I get married b/c no temple has particular meaning to me. But this is a temple that would have huge significant meaning to me. But that will be a few years out. So, welp! I guess I don't have to worry about boys for a while. :) I am so excited to have a temple in Star Valley, and I am so grateful to President Monson. Yay for having temples on the earth!!!
