Smiling All Day

Today the rainbows on the glass decorations hanging from the library ceiling make me smile.

This weekend was utterly fantastic! (Minus the fact that I had to clean out my car because they finally decided to total it) But anyways....This weekend was so totally awesome!!! Friday morning I had my friend Mitch go with me to my dance class to learn some aerial moves. It was super fun. I struggled a little bit, but by the end I was getting them alright. But somehow I'm still sore from it. Ask me how that makes me feel. After dancing I left for our big "sister's weekend" On the way there Emily and Jashley tried to teach me about the different cars on the road since I need to by one now, but I've never bothered to pay attention to cars before. Then we got all dressed up in our witches costumes and went to take family pictures. They're always fun to do. Then we went to the This is The Place monument and went through their haunted trail thingy, and it was awesome!!! Cortney was bawling before we even went in. Mom dragged Amory to the front with her, and I followed Jashley and Bethany. That was a smart move on my part because all of the creepers jumped out and scared them, which meant that they left me alone. Saturday was also pretty dang great. We went to a Family History convention thingy (marginal I know) but it wasn't as horrible as I expected. I actually learned a thing or two about google, then I felt super inspired to write my life history...only problem is that I'm only 19, I don't really much of a life history to write. Then we went to this cute little boutique in Ogden, and I actually bought a couple things (gasp!). Then the real party started. My friends picked me up and we drove to Ephraim. We stopped for dinner at DJ's house, then stayed the night at Jake's house. The next morning we drove to Richfield for my dear friend Elysha Resendes' farewell. It was so great! I love seeing Elysha, and she gave such a fantastic talk it's ridiculous. And Alec came!!! I haven't seen Alec in forever, but I love Alec!!! After the luncheon we headed home and I got to drive the whole way. Jake was too tired to drive, so I got designated the safe drive and drove. It wasn't too bad except the construction through Utah Valley freaked me out of my mind!! But whatever, not a big deal. We stopped at Ashley's house for lunch, so I was the only person who's family the group didn't get to meet. When we got home to Logan I went with my roommates to check the mail b/c I was hoping to get a letter from Townsen while I was gone. So Rachel picks up an envelope and I see my name, so I squeal, grab it and run out the door. Then I looked at it and it definitely wasn't from Townsen. It was from Saylor! I stopped dead in my tracks and ran back to my roommates freaking out. I was ecstatic. I've written a couple letters in the year that he's been gone, but I didn't expect him to ever write back. It was totally the icing on the cake to top off the best weekend ever.

  2. Ok, it's true. I laughed a lot more with you guys than I did with my friends. Although I would say that the whole weekend in general was a party. :)
