It's funny how playing with a laser pointer like a 5 year-old can make a person smile sometimes.
It's been a peachy week. Friday I was going to do some homework, but did I? Of course not, who are we kidding? I went to Religion in Life, and the speaker was the lady who played Emma Smith in the movie, and at the end she played/sang the Emma song, and she sounded just like Amy. It made me miss this summer. I can't even tell you what I would give to go back to this summer. Me and Elysha sitting on the couch talking, with Amy playing piano and singing in the background. Going over to Bridgerland every night. No school stress, no work, no drama, just enjoying life at it's best. Oh I would kill to go back to that place. That night Jashley called and said that she was coming to pick me up and I was going to eat dinner at Emily's house with Amory. That was pretty fun. We taught them how to play Mow, and it was great. When we left Emily's house, one of my friends invited me over to make treats. They wanted oreos, but since I don't like chocolate, we also got stuff for me to make my peppermint cupcakes. They also had me watch a couple episodes of Big Bang, and I'll admit. The few episodes that I saw were pretty funny. I can see why people like that show so much. Saturday morning I woke up bright and early to run the "First Dam Run" 5k with my family. It wasn't as terrible as I anticipated. It was snowy, but the cold wasn't horrific. And I was pleasantly surprised at my time. I was only 5 minutes slower than I was at Swift Creek, but Swift Creek was way easier so I feel like 5 minutes was a reasonable time, although I think I could've done a little faster. But it's over now so I'll never know. After the race, I went to Chuck-a-rama for lunch w/ my family. And usually I love that place and eat a few big plates. But this time I ate one big plate, and then I felt like I was going to puke. I felt horrible. For future reference, I shouldn't stuff my face with so much food right after a race. Then we all went shopping around for a little while, and it was great b/c I got to drive my new car!!!!!! I love my new car! It's a 2007 Impala, and it's so nice. Oh my gosh, I love it. After we celebrated Amory's birthday we all went our separate ways. Then I tried to get a hold of my visiting teaching supervisors, which was so frustrating. I tried texting and calling them all week asking them to call their girls, and some of them still didn't do it. I'm not a very patient person. This is one of those things that I would just as soon do it myself. Just leave it alone, I'll call all the girls in the ward. But of course I'll be a good person and keep giving the supervisors opportunities to magnify their callings. After I got that all taken care of, I went to a hockey game with Jade, Jake, and some kid named Tanner that I didn't know. But I was so exhausted, and the game was such a blow out that I didn't even care to be there. So by the end of the 2nd period, Jake said that we could leave. My roommates joined us at Jade's house to watch Star Trek, but the DVD player wasn't working. So instead we went to visit James, and Jade was talking to his brother Aaron on a little headset thing. And I was so tired, I didn't have a clue what was going on. But I love James b/c he'll see something somewhere and feel the need to explain to you how it works. It's so funny (and educational) to me. Sunday was super great. Fast Sunday, so of course it was fantastic. Our testimony meeting was sooo good. I loved it. For dinner we did a potluck at Jade's house, then we all went to the CES fireside, and it was such a great fireside. Oh my goodness it was such a good one. I loved every second of it. All in all, it's been a fantastic weekend. And now this week I have 2 dates. I was telling Spencer that I was so excited and a little nervous for my blind date on Wednesday. So he suggested we go on a "practice date". So I also have a date tomorrow night in anticipation for my blind date, which hopefully will be a good date as well. I'll let you know how that goes though.
