Christmas Lights

Christmas lights warm the soul and make me smile.

I read my last post and that seems like a lifetime ago. This has been the longest and possibly most painful finals week yet. Monday was absolutely horrific for several reasons that I won't go into on here. I got up at 5:30 review for my 8:00 test one more time. But you know, as bad as it was I did still get the grade I needed in Econ (by 1%). Talk about passing by the skin of your teeth. I'm really not a fan of Econ I won't lie. I swear it's common sense, but they take the common sense and try to break it down and explain it and that just throws me for a loop so I don't get it. Ah! So frustrating. After that I spent the day devoted to studying for/taking my communications test, that actually did go well I think. That night I went back to the library at like 7:30 and was going to stay til 11- 11:30 but by 9:00 I was dying inside and wanted to give up and go home. But I had to wait til 9:30 so I could get out of the parking garage. But when I got home I had the best surprise ever. Jade knew what a horrible day I'd had and all the things that were going on so she had gone to Temptation Cupcake and gotten me not one, but THREE cupcakes. She is the bestest best friends in the whole entire world. I don't think she has any idea how much that meant to me and lifted my spirits. I don't even deserve a friend nearly as good as her.
Yesterday (tuesday) was slightly better. I woke up at 5:30 again to review for my 7:30 test, and I felt like that one actually went well. But then I got the multiple choice results and I only got 64/88. I'm super mad because I felt like I could have backed up or argued most of my answers on that part of the test. So now I'm just hoping that the written part went better than the multiple choice part did. But also the way he is grading on a curve, I'm really scared that I'll get like a B- in the class even though I technically earned a B+  percentage wise. So I'm really freaking out about that. then I spent the rest of the morning/afternoon making my study guide for my MIS test that I have tomorrow. Then I went with all of my friends to Salt Lake for dinner and to see the temple lights. It was way fun, and I'm glad I went. Although we were all super ticked off at "friend #1". I won't go into details, but let's just say he pulled a jerkface move and so then besides being disgusted that he would do that, I was stuck riding in his car instead of "friend #2" because of it. I was so mad at him. But then I was able to ride in "friend #2's" car on the way home, so that made up for it. But the temple lights were beautiful and it was good to break from studying for a couple hours to give my brain a rest.
