Satisfaction

I am smiling at the satisfaction of a job well done

I have spent the last 7 hours organizing the million pictures on my mom's computer for her. I'm exhausted, but it feels good to have it done. It has been quite the eventful week. I'll give you a run down of it.
Tuesday Cortney was supposed to cover for the secretary at Sunrise, but she woke up puking at 4:00, so I ended up going to work for the morning. It was a very good morning. I enjoyed good company, and got a lot accomplished. Then that night I the family went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a really cute movie, I liked it a lot. After the movie we all had a pretty heated discussion about what good majors are and what we all think of mine. Then we got talking about the different schools, and Jashley got dissin' on BYU-I a little bit, and let's just say that didn't really fly with some family members. It was definitely an interesting situation b/c stuff like that doesn't happen around here very often.
Wednesday morning I went to an Optometrist appointment. My prescription is 2-1/2 years old so I needed some new contacts, and mostly some new glasses b/c mine are beaten and looking mighty rough. not to mention that the prescription was older than dirt and I can't see anything out of them anymore. That afternoon all the adults went to Jackson. I had the option of bringing a date along, until I realized that I couldn't find a date. But then my dad kept offering to set me up on a date. But I said no way. I didn't want to go on a blind date with my whole family along. So I brought my friend Kirsten along, and it was really fun. We wandered the stores, then went to dinner. Dad took to a Chinese place (much to the disgust of half the group). But I was good and ate like a good little girl. It was alright, but I couldn't eat more than half a plate. And the fortune cookie said "Be very careful, for you are easily tempted." Ahh! How rude! Although true nonetheless. It was fun to get out of the valley for a while and away from all the kids. But the roads were really bad, so I felt bad for convincing my dad to take my car for better gas mileage instead of taking his 4wd truck.
Thursday we all went to Royce Hoops' house for a ride on his horse drawn sled. He's such a nice guy, and it's always fun when he takes us for rides. He hooked up this big rubber sheet behind the sled, so all the kids stood on it and he would turn the horsed around in an intersection and the "magic carpet" would slide really wide and go right over the snowbanks. They had so much fun doing it. Later that afternoon Bethany and I went down to Thayne to see Darnell and Devin to get adjusted. I screwed my neck up the first night I got home, so I was really in need of an adjustment.
Today, Friday, has been pretty low key. I was supposed to go sledding w/ the family up Grover Park, but I had a headache. So I stayed home with Mom and the babies. I spent the afternoon organizing the millions of pictures that my mom has on her computer. It was ridiculous and terribly unorganized, and tons of pictures were on there multiple times. It was quite the project. But I was able to get it all organized and nice. So now as soon as my mom goes through and deletes all of the pictures she doesn't need (if she doesn't, I will) I'll burn them all onto a CD for her and be done with it. Then I will teach her how to keep them organized for future reference so I don't have to do this again.
I've also been working on a photo book this week that I can order online. It actually looks pretty good. I'm slightly proud of myself, I pushed the limits of my left-brain and tried to get creative with it. :) It's been a super fun and chaotic week. We've got 19 people in my house right now. It's crazy, but it has definitely been a blast. Never a dull moment here when everyone is home, that's for dang sure. I love my family!!!
