Here I sit smiling to myself in a nice quiet, empty apartment that I have all to myself...it's beautiful.
Hi friends, it has been one crazy week. Finals are finally over, Hallelujah!!! I didn't do as well as I would have liked, and my GPA definitely isn't as good as I would've liked. But it happens, I've learned my lesson, and next semester, I will be sure to be more studious. Wednesday night I got to hang out at the library, but it was good b/c I got to participate in the annual "howl" at the library. Allow me to explain. Every Wednesday night of finals week, at 9:30 there is a silent dance party. Everyone goes to the main foyer with their ipods and headphones, and they have a "silent dance party" Everyone just dances around to their own music, then they make their way to all the other levels of the library. It's awesome. Then at about 10:00 everyone comes out to handrails that look over the main foyer and they all start howling like a bunch of wolves. It's a great way to release all the frustrations of finals week. It's the most random/awesome thing ever. One of the many reasons that I love USU. That night I got home and stayed up til almost 2:00 talking to Sophie and Basia. They are both really cute and really nice. I sure do like them a whole lot.
Thursday, rolling out of bed was sooo difficult. But then it was alright b/c I studied really hard, then took a powernap before taking my last final. Then I was done, I was so happy!!! I can't remember what I did the rest of the day other than watching "Pooh's Most Grand Adventure" on youtube. That's the one where Christopher Robin goes to school, but they all think he goes to Skull, so they go to rescue him. It's super cute, and it is the source of one of my favorite quotes "Promise me you'll always remember you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." It's so cute, I love it. That night I did something or other with my friends at Brookelane, but I can't remember what. Then I came home at like 11:00. That's so early for me.
Friday was lovely. I babysat all morning for my sister's sister-in-law. Her kids are super adorable and perfect little angels, so it was actually fun. Then I spent the entire afternoon putting together marshmallow guns for Jake's birthday present. That night my friends held a "Hanukkah party". They made some Jewish food, and we had sparkling grape juice, listened to some Jewish music, and made Yamaka hats, and watched IQ, because Einstein was Jewish. It was quite the experience, and it turned out to be a lot of fun.
Yesterday, Saturday was Jake's birthday. I went over in the morning to have a birthday breakfast. Then we all went shopping, they were looking for material to make pillows, and I was looking for anything I could make a Christmas present out of. While I was wandering around, I ran into Robin and Jason Linford. It was fun to see them again. It made me want to go back to Sunrise. When my friends finished their errands I turned around and starting running more of my own errands and I was running all day til I had to go to work. It was a peachy, but very exhausting day. Phew! Now it's Sunday! The best day of the week. And church was really really good this morning. I love Sunday's. And tonight I've invited a bunch of friends over to watch the Ultimate Gift. It should be a great time. :)
