The Spirit of Christmas

The spirit of Christmas is in the air, and it makes me so happy I just want to smile all the time.

Merry Christmas everybody!!! I know it's early but I just can't help myself. I hope that you have all had as wonderful of a week as I have. Thursday morning I did better on my marketing quiz than I expected to, and I wrote a letter to Elysha. Then that afternoon I got a letter from her, so now I need to write her back.
Friday was fantastic. Religion in Life was sooo good. The speaker showed a clip from Lion King and talked about remembering who we are and who we want to become. It was such a great talk. Then Jade and I talked to Steven for a while, and it was really fun. I wish that we would ever get to spend more time together. After classes I went home and relaxed for a while, and I got a letter from Ryan!!! It was such a good letter. It was like 4 pages long, and he sent me like 5 pictures. Although one of the pictures, this is the third time he's sent me that picture. It makes me laugh that he keeps sending me the same one. So I took some time to write him back. Then Jade and I went to the international talent show at the institute. I was really surprised at how many people were there, and there were even some pretty cool talents. We left early though, and went to Bridgerland to take a family picture with them. But all of Steven's family was there, and the roommates weren't. So instead we hung out with his family for a little while. We didn't stay very late though, so when I got home I made some Christmas cards online with pictures of my real family and my college family to send out. I'm excited. They are cute cards.
Saturday was interesting. I woke up at like 8:30-9:00ish, but I laid there in bed til like 10:30. I was almost content to stay there all day, but I needed to get up and do some homework. But then just before noon I got a reminder that I was supposed to help the campus service center decorate a tree for the festival of trees. When I got home from that I jumped in the shower and started getting ready for my date. Jake invited me to his company Christmas party. It was a really nice party, and I got to meet all his coworkers. We sat by and talked to his boss. His boss knows Corey Miles, and I was able to tell him how great I think President Miles is. Jake dressed up and played Santa for all the kids at the party. It was really fun to see him playing Santa. After the company party, we went to a pie/ugly sweater party at a friend's house. And we took some Santa pictures there. Then we went to DJ's party at Pinnacle, and it was a hoppin party. I've never seen such a great turnout at a Pinnacle party. And DJ was funny, he said "Man Kelsey, you're lucky to have Santa as your date." Then Ashley said "Yeah, Kelsey, you must have been a really good girl this year." and everybody laughed, it was way funny. After all the parties, we went home and watched Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and a couple episodes of New Girl. I didn't realize how late it was and when they said it was 1:30 I freaked out and ran out so I could go home. Note to self: from now on don't rely on other people to keep track of time for me.
All in all, it has been the best week ever. My presentation went great, I saw the forgotten carols, I got a couple letters, I went on a date, and it has been snowing. Life is so good. "Life is good today. Life is good today."
